I was flattered that NATECLA Scotland invited me to host a webinar entitled I want my students to go away! The aim of the session was to share my enthusiasm regarding the power of self-study to unlock students’ progress towards achieving their goals. You can watch a recording on You Tube!
I have produced two documents as a follow-up to the webinar, one focusing on how to encourage self-study at pre-entry level and one for higher level learners. Each document features:
- Tips on getting students on board.
- How to stage lessons to promote self-study.
- Worksheets with specific suggestions for students, including websites, apps, books, podcasts etc.
